Black Radishes, celery root, kohlrabi, jeruselum artichokes, carrots (full and baby), mini purple, romanesco and traditional cauliflower, baby kale, purple and green brussel sprouts, parsnips, turnips, pastry greens (chocolate mint anyone?) winter greens, creamsicle and burgundy sweet potatoes......lots of flavors and a weekend of winter Veggie Experiment. First order from the Chef's Garden a little north of me.

Took these pictures this morning, it's a beautiful winter day.

Hairyotter's winter garden. Looks like I should spend a little more time in the garden and less time on the computer.

More of a hobby than a food source.

I might get enough tomatoes from my greenhouse this winter to make one tomato salad.

I get allot of my stuff from local markets, whole foods and some of my meat purveyors that also sell veg. The chef's garden caters more toward professional chefs and I am looking to expand my knowledge and repetoire for in and out of home. So I tried a small order. They are not cheap, but the quality was amazing. Some of the baby/small items had so many different flavors and much more powerful than what I can seem to find locally. The comparison of sweet potatoes was so impressive. You could seriously make a savory lolly out of one of them.
