start joule away from home

i was wondering can you start joule away from home say if i was at work and i wanted to start it before im off so its ready when i get home? also is there a way to see how much time you have after its done before it gets overcooked. i know it shows you when its done cooking, but i want to see if before its done i can leave it in for say and extra 2 hr before its overcooked

1. yes you can start remotely (away from home). As long as its plugged in a ready to go, easy (done it many times). Wouldn't recommend leaving seafood in for much more than the recommended time but there is some flexibility, with red meats, poultry etc, an hour-2 is unlikely to negatively affect the product

Also to add .. in the Joule app if you use the guide to set time/temp when the cook is done it will advise regarding the time you can leave in.

Here is a good article on a remote ice delay start. As Todd said, with the exception of seafood, eggs, egg custards and some vegetables, most other proteins can be cooked a few extra hours without much if any degradation of your cook.
