Hi everyone!
I'm loving my Joule! I do have a question about chefsteps recipes. Why are the ingredient measurements in grams or ounces? Is there anyway I can convert into Tablespoons, teaspoons or cups to make measurements easier?

ChefSteps almost exclusively uses weight measurments: because they are more accurate and repeatable. they did a video a while back where they had a few different folks measure a "cup" of flour, and they all got different masses, some varying by 10%. weight is really the way to go, really with anything, but especially with baking. once you get used to it, it really makes things a lot easier in the long run.

As for converting them, there are websites out there that can help you with that. This is the first one I found:

. If you meant any way to do it here: no.

Hi Maryanna-welcome! See Brian's response. Not to belabor it, but many of us here are converts as it were. the few $ on a good scale will save time, dishes and help with consistency.
