Hmm... I bet, it's worth trying this with holy basil in place of the star-anise and sugar.

After visiting this a couple times, I'd made a Grand Marnier reduction with the juice from the pineapples and a couple scotch bonnets. Throw them in a creami and you've got a sorbet that warns you up while cooling you off. Can't thank you enough for planting the seeds for this with your post.
