Pork Ribs

Can I place my ribs in a pot with Joule with the plastic they're packaged in, then remove the membrane and season with salt after they're done cooking?

That would really depend on what they're packaged in.

The membrane is much easier to remove raw, where you can pull it off in one piece (or just a few pieces). After it's cooked, it's a lot more work. Removing it is optional, but I prefer to get it out of the way before eating (or cooking).

Hey Brad! It does depend on what type of packaging, but some of the pork ribs I see in my grocery store are good to go straight in. I usually cut open and repackage though, just for spacing purposes. As for the membrane, it will be very difficult to remove post-cooking. So if that's important to you, you might avoid some headache by simply opening the pack, removing the membrane, and repackaging. Or, you can be lazy and just keep the membrane on. They'll still be super tasty!

If you do cook in the original packaging remove any adhesive labeling before it goes in the bath!! Joule will thank you 😊
