I've decided I am going to be making pasta this weekend, and I would like some input from other community members on what they think. I'm going to make the Chefsteps Capunti pasta recipe along with the Braised Short Rib recipe they just released. Where I am a little unsure is I think I want to make a sofrito with sauteed mushrooms added in to the pasta dish. There are a lot of different variations of sofrito out there, and I'm trying to figure out my best option to accompany the Capunti and the Braised Short Ribs dish. I'm thinking either a Spanish or Italian style sofrito. Please if you have any thoughts or ideas or recipes to direct me to I would be very grateful.
