Dinner tonight...

was a really nice 2" prime grade ribeye jouled @129F , stupid decadent butter/cream sieved spuds and steamed brocc w/lemon zest butter. A good Malbec was in the glass to complete 🍷

Yum. Where can you get prime? My local butchers mostly stock select and the grocery stores only have choice. Which to me seems totally backwards, but I live in a small town.

You could ask your butcher or grocer if they could special order some prime. If you have an big box stores in your area: Sam's Club, BJ's, Costco, etc. you could see if they stock them (surprisingly many of these warehouse stores stock high quality products).

As brian advised it was bigboxgot... I got mine at Costco. I'm really picky when I look though the offerings so when I see the 'right' package it must come home!

Thanks. There's a Costco about 45 mins away. So not too bad. Maybe I'll stock up next time I get the chance

Yup same for me... I either go to pdx where there's multiple choices or Astoria where it's usually much more relaxed. The great stuff isn't always there but I always do a good inspection of all the cuts to make sure. Cause that's what vacuums and freezers are for ;-)
