Preheating with food in

Hi there,

I was thinking one way I'd use my machine is prep the food in the morning and have it ready to, in the bag, in the water, plugged in and as I'm on my way home, turn Julie (naturally Joule's new name) on while I'm on the bus.

Most of the recipes I've seen say put food in once it's preheated. Is there any method to timing for having food in the bath during the preheat?

Any advice is appreciated.

Preheating your device is recommended as it is following the understanding that, prior to cooking, produce has been kept properly.

The way you've worded your question suggests that your product would be sat in a room temperature bath until you needed to activate it. This is highly dangerous on the most basic levels of food hygeine.
