I don't have any pictures to hand but I've had my fair share of failures. I remember when I first getting into cooking and it was all about just following recipes, to this day I've no idea how I did it but I misread 1/2 tsp as 2tbs, the ingredient being chilli powder. It was pretty inedible.
Not really my fault but the first dinner party I ever hosted was for eight people, and one of my best friends partners neglected to inform me before hand he was allergic to mushrooms, which meant the stuffed mushroom starter was no good, the stock for the squash soup had mushrooms in it, and I had used the same stock as a base for the sauce for the main course. That was a pretty bad experience.
I doubt an awful lot of allergies that people tell me they have. I suspect most of us do. but it's obviously not something you can put to the test in most situations.
