Hi, many of my friends are already cooking s/v, and I've decided it's time to start...tired of screwing up expensive cuts of meat, and the stress that goes with it even when they turn out ok.
After looking at both Anova and Joule, I've decided on the Joule. Now, I just need to convince my wife that the extra cost of the Joule is worth it. One thing that might make that job easier: on these forums, people have mentioned that there is a friend discount. Unfortunately, all my s/v friends use Anova, so it seems like I need to upgrade my friends. Doing so may take some time. Instead, perhaps there is someone on the forum who would kindly "be my friend" so that I can use the discount (assuming the offer is still available, and ChefSteps has no problem with me asking)? Yes, it's pretty sad, no excuses.
