Spring = veggies what to do

Tomatoes, carrots and beets growing like crazy. Having some fresh pasta sheets makes it easy to throw things together at the last minute. Caramelized carrot w ricotta, pancetta, lemon zest and pecan ravioli. Served with a mushroom leek, sage and capers sauce.

Next year im going to do more growing veggies... Really only got my Herbs set and Blueberry bushes..

My garden is limited and wish there was more time. Herbs are quite resilient for some reason. Lost my tarragon this year. The first herb I've lost in a bit. If time permits in the fall, will be sending in soil for testing and trying to plan what to plat from there.

No worries. :-) I wrote a thought re- the Zuc Ribbon, if fully sliced (thin via mandolin) you could "wrap" the salmon, lemon puree and top with fresh BB's and serve as a single bite. This would allow you to continue to be true to the NW and also serve the shrimp and steak. Was just thinking out loud.

Seriously my herb garden goes like all winter long, kinda crazy!

Good luck on all the soil testing... Don't know too much about that except dig it all up and put new soil in... lol

The more I read the less I know :-). Followed a number online and watched a few documentaries, contacted blue hill farms and the chefs garden in OH (i source some veg there-awesome!) and very open to helping everyone. There's a testing facility at osu only 30min from me (I miss the pnw ☹). From there one can plant according to what is missing in the soil (to regenerate the soil using plant food) instead of the same thing in a more depleted soil. Its a big rabbit hole for me. Yikes.

Piece of art - I think Your personal style will be always the classic - timeless - Italian - simple style in plating - I think you can still practise for fun the other modern styles, but my heart get s just touched when u just keep doing this, a masterpiece here we see. You would have cooked yourself right now in all the real Italians hurts especially the grandmothers and Miss Italia s ;-) respect
