I've cooked Sous Vide for about 4 years. I am a single retired widowed male. I HATE cooking every day for myself! I've learned to enjoy cooking gourmet meals, Sous Vide, fast frozen after cooking. I usually cook about once a month! During my cooking day... I will prepare about 20-30 gourmet dinners, and a variety of foods: proteins, vegetables and starches... all at once! Then I only have to thaw gentlly in a shallow 2" cold water bath in the kitchen sink. It takes about 30 minutes. Then I open the vacuum packed food, plate, and reheat my dinner. A gentle warming in the microwave at level 2 or 3 setting until they reach an eating temperature, and my dinner is ready. NO Overheating allowed! Everything is already cooked! Just warm it up to eat. I love the results of Sous Vide cooking tenderness and amazing tastes... with NO kitchen cleanup! It works for me, and the food is outstanding!
I've served guests my food... and they are totally amazed with the taste, texture, and results. Tastier foods than the local restaurants are able to serve.
