steak and sprouts
tshewman
Walked in the door last evening and went from frozen to on the table in ~90 minutes with steak, lemon-pepper rice and sprouts. The best part was the unattended time and ability to get unpacked from a long trip.

Lemon pepper rice sounds good!
Todd don’t know what happened but this was the only post up and now there are many
I’ve been having a really hard time getting the forum to load on my iPad/phone for the last week and prior to that I noticed a lot of experienced users here putting double posts up. Maybe there’s a bug in the forum??

Lemon pepper rice was made using lemon pepper salt from sanjuanisland sea salt and chicken stock (and 1/2 bottle of white wine reduced).
@Huy_63293
can you check into the posting issues??

Thanks for your recipe
I read your reply at noon then recycled the page... whoops. Wouldn’t reload unit now (5:30pm) and there’s more double posts as well. This is all I could get...

The forum was looking really dicey the other day - taking a long time to load, not loading at all, etc. Seems to be back to normal now.
A little chicken broth and a bit of salt really take rice up a notch. I usually do half broth / half water, and I'll often start with some onions too. Most of the liquid ends up in the rice, so you can just season it to taste before covering. (All my broth is home-made, I break down enough chicken to keep up, so it has no salt to start with.)
For "indian" I'll throw in whole cumin, clove, cardamom, and a pinch of turmeric or a yellow curry powder.
For "mexican", I'll cook down a wee bit of tomato or tomato paste after the onion, and throw in a bit of cumin, maybe oregano, a cilantro sprig, and halved jalapeño (to remove at the end).
I've also done red bell pepper, rice, and water when I want something lighter.

Yeah seems like we’re back to the usual 'kinda buggy™' forum now.
I’m there with ya on the rice variations 👍
Here’s a link for some Persian spice/food... some things from Iran since the embargo lift

Well I guess it’s copy and paste cause it won’t go live.
The saffron is especially good and has a really good price!!! The pistachio are a hit and miss unfortunately but the Keshmesh Ghalami (green raisins) are excellent. The wild cumin seeds smell awesome but haven’t used them yet also the little red barberries are great for a sour cranberry like note. And it looks like like they’re doing free shipping over 60$ and I also see prices went up slightly... super nice people to deal with!
