sweet onion substitute

Hello good day to you all , I want to make the Tangy, Versatile Kalbi Short Ribs Marinade recipe but I can`t find sweet onion , is there any substitution for sweet onion ? and if there is , what is the substitute ratio ?

any onion (even red) will work (same amount) There will be some subtle difference, but not enough to ruin the flavor
