Which brioche burger bun recipe to use?

There are several different brioche burger bun recipes on Chef Steps.

There's this one:

The articles don't have published dates on them which is rather unhelpful so I can't see which is the most recent, and there's no explanation as to why or how the recipes differ.

Any help, please?

The first one is the final version I believe. That is the recipe most of us use.

Go with the first link you have. This is the recipe that's posted in the gallery. You can find every recipe iteration in the sitemap where they walk you through their recipe development, but even the last version in the series isn't necessarily their final recipe.

"VERSION 6 CONCLUSIONS: These were the best buns yet. Very moist and tender, without that fatty mouthfeel I had experienced in some of the earlier trials. I am finally making progress, but we're not there yet."

They say that this is not their desired result: making progress, but still needs work.
