Corned Beef Pre Brined

Hello!
I'm considering doing the 48 hour corned beef and wanted to just use the beef exactly as it is in its prepackaging without removing it from the vacuum sealing. Has anyone tried this before?

I have and it was way to salty. I prefer to soak it in clean water for a few hours and change the water a couple of times, add the spice packet to a new bag and re-vacuum seal (you could use the displacement method if you don't have a vacuum sealer). The other problem I have found with some of the original packaging is that some are glued and the seals can come apart with the heat of a SV bath. At the very least put it in a second bag if you want to try it.
