Off the grid

A bit different, but cannot resist in showing you this little piece of paradise...
Was off the grid for a few days on the South Patagonian coast in a remote place... Just enjoying the silence and cooking basics... Foccacia and meatballs...

Very nice! I love the look of that range you were cooking on. A friend of mine lives in a cabin where that is the primary heat source and cooking fire. Very cool -- hope it wasn't hot! I love the look of that beach - nice and pebbly. And I spy a "Kitchamajig" in your kitchen. At least, that's what I call those wire strainer scooper skimmer things....
It's always nice to get off the grid. I just got back from a week off the grid myself. The water tasted terrible, but the views were fantastic.

Nice, down to earth cooking. Where off the grid is this? Looks like you could do some great beach harvesting on low tide.

Hi Manfred,
It was south of Puerto Madryn. Unfortunately, while indeed there are some shells, the entire Patagonian coast is subject to red tide, which renders any harvesting impossible, especially there where there is no monitoring... But fishing was fine...
