All of ya'll would be invited. All ya'll. You know who you are.
Thanks to ChefSteps and to the community here on the forum. We were in on the House Rub. We copped that Waring blender and that Polyscience circulator. We threw down on some stones from Epic Edge. We sharpened our knives and our selves -- together through the power of the Internet. Cook connected? You bet your ass. And Joule? Out of this world. (Though if you could incorporate some physical controls and a display without compromising water-tightness and size, Joule 2.0 would be extra-mad-ballerer).
Anyway, I just wanted to do a slow clap for all the players and hustlers out there at ChefSteps -- officially and unofficially. But mostly officially. They say that if you don't grind, you don't shine. Well ChefSteppers have been grinding and shining harder than anyone in the online food community. All that content shall stand as an eternal monument to the sheer ballerness of it all. And the community that was built here was second to none. I still wish we had become the new eGullet for modernist enthusiasts, which is sort of what the old forum community experience was like. Oh well. I'm still here, baby. Because I love your brand and I'm not going anywhere, even if the new forum never made it out of beta. And I promise that's the last time I'll mention that.
As much as it pains me, I'm unable to throw a party for everyone. At least not yet. I shall instead drink some fancy bubbles in your honor, and I'd invite you all to do the same -- in whatever fashion that might be. My personal plan is to throw on Outkast's "Player's Ball" -- both versions. And then I will enjoy some fancy bubbles that I made myself with some juice and some enzymes and some g-forces and some CO2. Maybe some gin gets in there... maybe it doesn't. I might even break out the LN. Who knows? It's a celebration, bitches! In any event... cheers everyone! Well done!
Legends only? Legends all.
