Since CS is in new ownership, I see two avenues possible. One is CS issue and promote their studio pass to maintenance a certain financial, read creative, independence, and offering their known high-quality content, the other would be CS is to heavily promote Breville appliances to stay afloat.
I prefer the first, even though Beville carry’s good products.
At least once in the year I end up getting a $ 40,00 Dinner served I have regrets afterwards I even considered ordering it. Just had one for example: a frozen yellow fin tuna in a recommenced Japanese restaurant in Munich. Once again I left the place with the certain feeling: ” I could have done this myself better, were was the value in it?”
The content of the studio pass counts, and the content offered justify a yearly subscription fee in the offered range to my view, whether your premium member or not.
CS has put up valuable, top of the notch content over many years, most of it for free. CS made Commercial cook successful as home cooks alike by offering suitable content. They spearheaded a new kitchen and cooking movement which started with the release of Modernist Cuisine, which spurred a whole new understanding in cooking and product preparation.
Receiving the James Beard Award medallion for excellence isn’t coming from nothing. The strive for excellence is a habit most 3 Star chefs “suffer” from, El Bulli never made it in the black numbers ever but laid the foundation for a new generation of chefs.
CS “suffering” the same habit, did not stop short in this strive but put a device on the marked which is timeless in its design and unmatched in its overall performance. My thoughts when I get a first look on it. “If Apple ever was to engage in the kitchen appliance business, this would be the device. CS was there first. High creativity and dry business never really match perfectly together, the air on the top is thin.
Even more so we all can state ourselves now happy a realistic solution for Joule was found and CS can focus back on their core creativity, behind pots and pans, charts and scales.
I dear to hope Breville is willing and determined to give CS the same creative freedom as their previous Investor Gabe Newell.
Forum and Community must come back in the forefront of the focus. The Forum simply never really worked in FB communication style. I know 5 Years ago, when the forum first changed, this style was hype, but now it's not and never will be for a platform as CS.
It will take time and effort I don’t expect it soon, but the past 4 Years did not provide a pause in the culinary world.
