New to it all? First Timer

Hello All

OK just starting out, I have just got my Joule an hour ago, all set up, up dated set WiFi and Bluetooth. Not used it yet been reading and watching videos so have a lot to learn.

Im sure I will be hear a lot reading and learning from you all.

In time I hope Ill cook some thing safe to eat.

I got the Joule as it has such a great app for some one like me thats never cooked any thing Sous Vide.

So could some one please tell me if I have new or old model. its all white orange base and in app it comes up connect to Joule 7255

As its brand new and paid top money for it just would like tio know if I have latest Model.

Yup. There are only two models and the only difference is asthetics - all white or will a silver top. Hardware is the same and they all get the same software updates

Open the app, pick a recipie you like and make it. Really not much too it which is one of the things that make sous vide so great. A novice can nail a perfect steak, for example. Over time you can play around setting you own custom temps and times and get a feel how you like to do something, if you want to be in complete control. But if you are just looking for a great, no fuss meal, then just follow the very simple instructions in the app and you will be thrilled.

Well started off simple. did eggs for my breakfast wow soft running yoke just how I like them, put eggs in did toast pot of coffee time i did all that eggs done spot on

So did Basic chicken breast, came out really moist tasted great, a little pinkish for my liking so will cook longer next time.

but very happy on my first use.

Pinkish chicken will not be solved by cooking longer. However, increasing the temperature a couple of degrees will. Remember, with low-temp cooking, time impacts texture. Temperature impacts the degree to which your protein is cooked.

Thank you for the info, I did mean to up the temp but old ways die hard so came out cook longer.

So much to learn.
