Is it just me, or is CS making this whole studio pass even more of a debacle with today’s email.
The choice was not clearing changing their business model. For those of us who supported your startup from early on and bought the ‘lifetime’ membership; that should have been honored. Anyone joining forward would have to do the subscription model. That’s pretty simple, and keeps to the agreement of what was purchased.
I won’t be a supporting CS going forward sadly. I have helped to sell nearly 10 joules to friends and family, and have talked to them specifically about what the company did. They too are disappointed.
At this point I’ve bought a used Anova sous vide and am testing it out, along with its app, and services to see if that is something I can support instead now; because I (and many others) supported Grant and the company, and have all been lied to.
If the old adage of the best publicity is customer word of mouth, I was that. Unfortunately, when the company betrays the agreement made to its customers, it’s pretty difficult to continue supporting that company, because who knows when the next lie will come out. Fool me once... and all that cliche truth.
