I get that weighing is more accurate. But 20 g vanilla? 1.3 g of salt? A pound a pie dough? Seriously? Can we just recognize that it’s highly impractical and unnecessary to weigh every freaking ingredient? I got excited when I saw a post about multiple chocolate chip cookie recipes.... until I saw them. I’m not a masochist. I don’t have room for 20 different scales, or the interest/ energy in washing a scale 50 times to make one batch of cookies. Weigh Vanilla? Get real, chef steps. The studio pass is equally crappy. You cannot make a subscription model profitable if you don’t have a product that add value to people’s lives. Your insistence on making these impractical recipes only makes you elitist jerks. I’m confident in my ability to make a Great Sous vide pork chop without weighing the salt to 1/1000th of a gram. If you’re such great cooks, Why aren’t you? I literally did LOL at the email suggesting I actually give a studio pass subscription as a gift. I want my friends to like me after Xmas, and I’m not a sadist. I’ve seen multiple comments in multiple recipes asking/ begging , for some remotely normal measurements. If you can’t please the masses, you’re subscription model is doomed for failure. I may have bought a joule, but I go to Anovas site for recipes. Or chef google. What’s the value proposition you offer? I pay you for recipes I can’t use, vs find user friendly recipes via google for free? It’s a no brainer. When you said in your email the lifetime premium model was an amateur mistake, ignoring the needs of your customers is an even bigger one.
