I was pretty excited to see your holiday discount offer on truffles, in fact that article (or advertisement really) was one of the only things I could see with my premium membership

. Anyway, the offer is a 20% discount on "truffle kits," which include 1 or 2 ounces of fresh truffles, a slicer, and a brush.
After making my selection I applied the discount, and for the 2 oz black truffle kit my total came to $188.00. This is curious because if you order 2 oz of black truffles and a slicer on the main website the total comes to $182.00. The added brush is not at all specialized or unique and can be bought on amazon for just a couple bucks, so what gives?
Why call it a "discount" when the offer is actually slightly more expensive than what is available on the regular portion of the purveyor's site? Are you telling me the entire thrust behind this truffle promotion was to save people a couple of dollars on a small brush? This is not just incredibly underhanded and dishonest, it's downright slimy. Even after the membership debacle I still retained an inherent amount of trust in your company, there's a very good chance I wouldn't have even looked at the rest of Gourmet Attitude's site because I assumed you were still true to your mission statement of empowering cooks. I guess I can assume that's not the case anymore.
Happy Holidays. . .
