They also moved away from using grams for parts of the composed dishes that incorporate the sauces. I’m now seeing cups and tablespoons. Whyyyyyy

I just cruised through the studio and premium and saw just a few examples of that. I suspect because proteins are measured like that (in the states) why confuse the general consumer and rice in cups is pretty standard and part of the product cooking directions on any package that I’ve seen. I have a cup inside my rice container for just that, why break out a scale for that? A tablespoon of oil would tedious at best on a scale. Maybe I’m missing something 🤷♂️

Two things:
I think they are like that because they just copy and pasted from the original dishes they mailed to people when the Joule Ready sauces were up and running.
If they do start doing cups and such, it’s just a major philosophy change for ChefSteps so I was caught off guard by it. I think it’s more of my first point though. If you look at the Cod and Potato recipe, it’s all in grams. Maybe that one wasn’t part of the original Joule Ready run?

I went though quite a few but indeed missed the cod/potatoe .. that does not make sense and you may be quite right regarding cut/paste. I do agree that the proteins/veg should be in grams for consistency and philosophy. But I do stand by my rice cup

No, just an oversight. They did 23 in a short time period, I think it's fixed now.
