I loved this email amid the plethora of COVID -19 messages sent throughout the morning, afternoon and now evening here in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Our supermarkets are empty as fear and panic has set in. The wonderful reminder to get takeout, or have food delivered is a way to feel secure and continue to support small business. Thanks.

I see it another way. From a public health perspective they're being incredibly irresponsible.

I had the same reaction. I was pretty appalled when I read the email. My spouse is a doctor on the front lines of this thing, and it's only a matter of time until both of us get it. She tells me horror stories, it's not pretty. This is completely irresponsible and borderline unethical advice.

Well, they deleted a comment I posted about how irresponsible this email was. Guess they have no moral or ethical compass. Very telling.

Look, you definitely want to keep yourself safe in this. You don’t want to get sick with this one. But there is a way to keep your favorite coffee places, restaurants, food trucks, bars, and cafés alive during this time—gift cards, takeout, or something more creative. Fight for your community.
