Frozen Steak "to presear - or not to presear, thats the question..."

Should I put the frozen slab directly in SousVide or for defrosting 24 hours in the fridge?
And:
Could I (of course I could, but would it be wise to do so) presear the frozen steak right before putting it in the bag?

It works any way you do it...from frozen, defrosted, pre sear, no pre sear..etc. For me, my steaks are often frozen and vacuum sealed. So, they go directly into the bath with no pre-sear, simply out of convenience. However, a pre-sear (either frozen or defrosted) when you can, followed by cook in bath, then post sear, does produce a better final crust.
