I just got a griddle top for my traeger (BBQ Hack) and can't wait to try the smash burger out.

I recently purchased a small inexpensive but so far very capable meat grinder. I’ve wanted to try one for years but never pulled the trigger... boy do I feel like a complete schmuck for not doing this earlier!! Best burgers I’ve ever made! Had one last night... mmmm burgers

I know it’s probably got lots of bad things in it but there was a burger relish/sauce that many of the now gone roadside burger stands used here in the PNW that I’d like to figure out. I think my granny even used it at her Dairy Queen in the early sixties. Anybody that knows what it was will get a burger reward

Nice! You had the brisket on hand even? I don't keep that around. It's a project of this weekend.

Hey jo, the first grinding I used a nice ribeye cut and it felt weird to grind that up.. good result but needed a little more fat. The second round was a chuck roast chosen carefully for moar fat

.. great result! I kept half fresh and froze the other to see how that affects the meat I’ve got one more burger for tomorrow so I’ll be checking into brisket for the next round depending on what I see in the meat section of course.

I’ll say it again.. I feel like a dolt for not buying one a looong time ago!

Forgot to mention that if you haven’t tried Portland brand ketchup, you should. My mom turned me on to it a couple of years ago... been my go to ever since.

I highly recommend!
