Breville Joule Oven

Hello, I am not sure where to post this, so here it is. Using the New Breville Joule app, the CS Ultimate Air-Fried Chicken Thighs with Autopilot recipe. There are three steps.

1. Broil High 5 min.

2. Air Fry 480F 6 min.

3. Bake 150F 20 min.

Check with thermometer to see if temperature get to 167F.

I have run this recipe using Autopilot over a dozen times, and it has never once reached 167. The last few times I have used my Combustion Inc thermometer to watch the temperatures, and the chicken never hits 150 during the Air Fry, so there is not a way I can see that the chicken with move up in temperature if the bake setting is at 150F. Any ideas what I am doing wrong, also is there a better place to send this feedback.

Hi Chad, A couple of questions that will help.

1. Are you trimming the flesh from the thigh bone in step 1 ?

2. How long are you searing for in step 3?

Your chicken should be up to close to 160 before the oven kicks down to the 150 rest.

Thanks for responding. I am trimming the flesh from the thigh bone in step one. Searing for about 3 to 4 min. I stop the cook when the chicken hits 150 since it will not get past that point and broil on hi until it reaches 158, and the carry over lets it get to 167.
