Sodium Caseinate in the vege burger
Adam_Crickett_16368
Hey!
I'm having trouble finding Sodium Caseinate in the UK, would it be called something else? Is there an effective substitute for it in the black bean burger?
Cheers,

They say soy protein isolate is supposed to be a decent substitute, and it is vegan to boot (Eddie Shepherd used it in

. I'm not sure how perfectly it works in terms of texture though
This document they posted on facebook has a table about reactivity

So if you want to, maybe try looking on some bodybuilding sites. They seem to use soy protein isolate and micellar casein a lot (looking at the table, whey doesn't react as well), but I'm not sure well they would work.
