Biscuit Storage
ParkerCook_66639
I made my first batch of biscuits following the Chefsteps recipe last night and they turned out amazingly well! My question is how to store them as I put them in a plastic zip top bag overnight and many of the great qualities of the biscuits were lost overnight. As I'm a biscuit noob is there a better way to store them?

I store mine in my tummy.
All breads go down hill fast once baked. If you need to keep them a while, once fully cooled, wrap in paper, bag and freeze. Thaw in a medium oven.
If you are going to eat them the next morning reheat in an oven, or better still make the dough the day before and bake fresh in the morning.

Sutherland When I freeze the dough, do I need to modify the baking instructions at all? I assume they'll take a hair longer to bake.

- I asked the same question and from the response I got and from my experience they do take a little longer to bake.

I only make my dough and bake the biscuits on the same day as they are quick to do.
Another option to save time if you are doing the biscuits for breakfast/brunch is to scale out all the ingredients the day before and then assemble and bake in the morning.

for sure, just freeze them and toss them in for a couple extra minutes to order. Freezing and baking is particularly good for times where you just want, like three biscuits.
