3D Printed Food

Hi Everyone,

I am pretty new to this forum, so I don't know if this was discussed before. I tried to search for the topic but couldn't find a lot in this forum.

What do you think about 3D printed food? Is anyone already testing it or using it? What is your opinion on this revolutionary area?

It's a severely limited technique without many promising applications. If you like dishes made from extruded pastes, 3d printed food may be up your alley, but I seriously doubt that this technique will ever find widespread adoption in professional or home kitchens.

@Brandon_Byrd, whatever it’s offered on Hardware right now for kitchen or manufacturing it’s

just scratching the surface of it. I was thinking about getting one myself, fire

up the CAD program and design some cool kitchen tools from plastic. Looking

at the price range and limitation I will give it another year.

@Manfred: I have no objection to 3D printing tools or other objects that might be useful in a kitchen. (I've also thought about doing this!) But the question was about printing food itself, which seems like a pretty horrible idea given the limitations that one has to work with.
