Pretty sure it is some sort of melon, bit sweet, has a slight crunch, smells like cucumber. Might not be fully ripe?

Treat it like a cucumber, basically just a more dense version in my experience. There's an indian vegetable similar in texture but a different color that I experimented with a bit (can't recall the name) that was very similar. I found that the smell was much better than the overall taste so you may consider juicing them for the aroma.
