I saw a drawing of this dish about 9 months ago on Instagram and I thought it was beautiful, I asked the person who drew it and she said it was based on a photo she saw on pinterest. I decided then and there that I was going to try to recreate the dish. It was only until much later that I realised this is actually an Eleven madison park dish, still, I have trouble getting figs in Singapore. So it took me going to Spain and hand carrying back fresh figs for me to complete this dish, only 9 months in the making. Lots of substitutions had to be made but... I'd say Im pretty happy with it
