Egg Calculator Now Mobile

Hey everyone,

Our brilliant Egg Calculator is now available inside the just-updated ChefSteps app for iOS and Android. Please update your app (or download from the former and latter links) and cook some eggs!

We rethought the calculator with a mobile-first design. We hope you like it and, most importantly, find it useful.

You'll notice a new menu icon in the app. Tap here to get to the calculator.

For those of you who had problems using the egg calculator in a mobile browser on the regular site, getting the app will solve it. This version of the app also includes a bunch of bug fixes including the #1 complaint: you won't lose your place in the recipe gallery when you go into a recipe and back out.

Hi Todd, I was wondering what version of android and what device you were using. We're having a problem reproducing the problem.

Todd it looks like it's force closing right? I am able to see people on 4.1 getting an error. I'll look into it and see if I can figure out what is causing it.

Awesome addition guys. Next would be a sous vide timing calculator very much like the paper based versions you just released but in App form. At the moment, I have the PDF one saved in my iBooks app on the iPhone/iPad but a proper calculator would be an excellent edition. There are some sous vide calculators in the App Store but nobody has seem to be able to get it quite right and as simple as your PDF version. Appifying that would be awesome! Keep up the good work!
