It seems strange to me that you've left out the most open minded inquisitive and joyful demographic of ChefSteps users....Children! Science, Math, and Great, Fresh Food, Oh my!

I cook with my 11 year old all of the time. She loves watching CS videos! We outgrew "for kids" cookbooks years ago. I am also an educator. Kids are drawn to the magic of cooking....even the simple stuff. The problem is that most of the "for kids" recipes/books are terrible...easy, but terrible. I like the idea that
@Dawn
is getting at. It would be cool if we saw some kids on the site. It would be really great if an awesome recipe also taught a science concept, but it doesn't have to be a science lesson...just why it is done this way...why it works...or what it is. Wouldn't it be great for kids to see kids cooking! ....maybe this drifts slightly from the mission of CS....but I would be in favor!

Mine (like Frank's) help me frequently as well. They are 5 and 6yo respectively and can crack an egg, Flip and egg (over easy), fold an omlette, Season with salt from above (my favorite :-)..), Work the kitchen aid mixer for pasta (sheets and cutting), cookies etc. Can pipe icing, ice cream and plate allot better than I can LOL! I'm not sure how CS can bring in Children as it were. Plenty of recipes already where children can be involved....??

I don't have many recipes, but as a general rule, cook medium rare hot and fast; milk feed are very tender but cost a premium; subtle seasoning or you can over power the delicate flavour of the meat; baby vegetables and micro greens are a good play on the plate.
Oh wait I need to read more than the heading.

My 2-year-old son and I cook all the time; mostly eggs, but pancakes (on Mama's birthday for breakfast-in-bed), cookies, and other baked goods. The attention span of a 2-year-old, but he cracks a mean egg.
