I just tried the Nordur flake salt made from arctic sea water in Iceland using a sustainable method. It's available in stores in Denmark, I do not know about US.
It has the same crunchy feeling as Maldon, but far more sustainable. Check it out on nordursalt.com. BTW - I do not have any shares in Nordur :-)
