Transglutaminase question

Okay, I'm prepping for my big cook on Saturday. Been storing my Moo Glue from Modernist Pantry in the freezer, unopened (per package instructions). Took it out this morning, and it has thawed, but it's still a solid lump. Can I blitz this in the blender to break it up? Or am I sorta screwed?

Any help? A little nervous about this and regretting my decision to not simply buy more transglute.

This may be obvious, but is it vacuum sealed? I find that vac'd powders often look and feel solid until I open the bag and maybe break up a bit with my fingers. (Sorry if that is obvious).

Either way, I've made the roulade for dinner yesterday using questionable transglutaminase and it worked just fine. It (the TG) was at least a year old (stuck in the back of the freezer, forgotten about, unopened).

If it is solid, you could try to pulverize a chunk in a blender/grinder and work it into a little raw meat and see if you get the "wet dog smell" (it's working in that case).

If it's DOA, you could always salt and tie it (a la the Turchetta on Serious eats). I kinda like the looks of an old-school tied roast anyway.

If you do blend it, be careful around the dust likely to be generated (don't inhale!!!).

Opened the TG pack and it instantly went to dust. All worked. Thanks for the help!
