USDA lists it as GRAS. Would recommend contacting the manufacture.

I am going to try and do some more research on the subject. Definitively I want to try it.

I have read that there are studies suggesting stomach enzymes have difficulty breaking down proteins after they have been bonded by TG, but this would also suggest that TG is not passed to the foetus (if the proteins are not broken down at that level). It's also fair to know that apparently other studies have shown that these proteins that are bonded by TG are absorbed and broken down in the body into normal products as though they had never been bonded. So, either way, TG itself is not the harmful issue, it is the host's ability to breakdown and digest the ingested proteins (large proteins generally are not broken down and is part of the GI system issues/concerns commonly discussed in the functional medicine world-FWIW). So, unlikely TG itself is the issue but understandable that one would want more information. Let us know what you find out.

Thanks for the response. I know now a days some foods have a lot of "ingredients" that we really don't know and could be harmful for us. We are already exposed to a lot of stuff as it is and I am very aware that it is part of our daily living but I would like to use these awesome tools in my cooking knowing that they are not harmful for my family. I guess somehow it will be cool to have a glowing fluorescent green kid hanging around the house.
