Mini Rice

The restaurant I'm working for right now will do themed chef tasting dinners once a month and Brazil is next month. I'm looking for a product called mini arroz ruzene (mini rice) but I can't buy it off amazon. Let me know if any one out there has heard of it and knows where I can get some?

Probably a bit late, but I suggest also making Pão de Queijo. They are the Brazilian version of Gougères. They are so tasty and gluten free!

Hello from Brazil Rudy. Arroz Ruzene isn't a type of rice, but rather a brand of (fancy) rices. Most of them are variations on wild rice (red, black, etc.) often with the husk left on. I'm not aware of a particularly "mini" variety, although some of them are small grained. You can get these at grocery stores here (Pão de Açucar, which is one of the biggest chains, carries it). Other than it being grown in Brazil, I don't really consider it a particularly "Brazilian" product. I think you can do just as well with Minnesota wild rice, and get basically the same thing.
