Cooking from 'Heritage'
matthew.snyder77
Sean Brock is my new favorite cheffy type person.
Got 'Heritage' for Christmas, and it's spectacular.
Two recipes from the weekend:
Chicken Simply Roasted In A Skillet
'Five Fat' Fried Chicken (lard, canola oil, chicken fat, bacon, butter)

Got this book as well. Very excited! I went through a carolina gold rice phase about 6 months back, so I'm excited to get back into it.

Those pictures look great. This book is amazing - full with great techniques and ideas - the skillet roasted chicken is my new go-to roast chook. The only problem for me is that so many of the amazing-looking ingredients just aren't available here in Sydney.

I was back and forth with this. I'll probably grab this eventually.

I haven't done too much from it yet. I did the chicken fried chicken skins and I think that's about it. Seems like it's best suited for the spring but it's a pretty book that's for sure

That book is near the top of my Wish List on Amazon. Glad to hear such a positive review, thanks!
