I was talking with my local Tom Thumb butchers last week about the Australian lamb and beef they get in. They had a one day special on lamb loin chop at $5.00/lb - half price, in two days. Asked one of the guys to keep a few whole roasts uncut for me. By the time I got the the store all the roasts had been cut into chops.
Yesterday I go to the store, they have more of the loin roasts and I pick up six at the half price rate.
As a bonus the manager had ordered a box of Australian grass fed flank, as I had talked to them about it a week ago. I picked up five.
