theres plenty of options for thickening water based mediums, such as gelatin, agar, gellan, etc, but what about thickening oils? i know you can use tapioca maltodextrin to turn it into a powder, but thats the only thing i know of that affects oils. i want to take a flavored olive oil and give it the consistency of warm butter - shapeable but easily spreadable. is there a way to do this?
