The chestnut powder I made from scratch after harvest about 16 months ago, kept it vacuumed and still perfect for use. - Barba dei frati- ,look it up at google pictures, there several (en) naming options, taste close to spinach and sea asparagus, commonly used in the Mediterranean kitchen with pasta. An essence from it could be interesting for pesto.
