Thanks! I sometimes wonder if a webcam would work but the HD space is pretty brutal pre-compression.

I heard mixed reviews on the smoking gun. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I suspect like most things it will be good for some dishes/applications and not so much for others.

That's a Polyscience Smoking Gun. It's a new toy, and I just broke it out for the first time this weekend, so I'm still getting used to it.

Nothing spectacular here. I've got a Sony a65 DSLR camera that I used for the video. Only had a mini tripod, so I had a small end table, with a chair on top of it, with the mini-tripod in order to get a bit of an angle. Fortunately the mini-tripod held up through the shoot...barely. I think it collapsed a few minutes later while I was busy chowing down. Tried to get some natural light for the shoot, but the sun was fading fast. I just set up the camera and started plating. 1 continuous take, sped up 6x, with captions and background music added via Windows Live Movie Maker. May not be the best editing suite, but it's free and easy to use. Overall, it's not professional quality video, but fun to mess around with once and a while.
