thanks it was, just labor intensive but, well worth it. what i didn't expect was that while post searing and applying the glaze it began to caramelize and then candy making a crunchy crust.

I used maple syrup and bourbon but brown sugar and anything (rum, bourbon etc) would work. Bacon at 375F for 5 min, turnout over for an other 5 then start basting the bacon and turn every five and bast until you have what you want. Mine was a total of about 40 minutes. this would be awesome with ice cream, eggs, crumbled up on anything
