Ok, not exactly Jamaican, but inspired by...
Was walking past a shop on the way home from work and the smell reminded me of jamaican beef patties i used to frequently eat for lunch when living in Toronto, Canada 15 years ago...
So I decided to whip some up with what I had available, as I've never seen them around here in Melbourne Australia...For filling used mince beef, thyme, tumeric, garlic, onion, ketchup, frank's red hot sauce, potato and added salt and pepper until the filling tasted awesome.
Brushed the pastry with some beaten egg + tumeric.
