Is it really just sea salt blended with activated charcoal? If so, can I make it at home?

I thought for some insane reason it occurred naturally until you asked..

After some research, Black Salt and Black Lava Salt are too completely different things. Lava is, as mentioned, made by blending with activated charcoal (and selling at a outrageous price afterwards), Black Salt is a traditional himalayan salt, though it's flavour is said to be very different, being used more as a spice, than a salt.

I know right?! Crazy stuff. I'll give a shot at making it if I get charcoal around.
