So I was sitting around the other day, dunking some choc chip cookies into a glass of milk and watching Chefsteps' Foie Gras Rocher when it struck me:
The cookie dough for this is so good by itself, I could eat by the mouthful, but yet again, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to do so, as much as I trust my eggs.
That being said, I wondered: What IF, I temper the eggs before adding them to the batter, substitute the flour for blitzed oats, so that raw flour flavour isn't present, popped a hazelnut in the center, dipped in chocolate and covered in hazelnuts? I mean... It's chocolate chip cookie dough. Everyone eats it when noone is looking. So I'm thinking of giving it a try for Xmas. Possibly also adding some peanut butter in the mix, like CS' alternate PB version.
Ya guys think it's plausible? I know it sounds crazy, but dude.. It's like an eat-cookie-dough-and-not-get-yelled-at-by-your-mom card!
