Carbonated Cocktail Question

I'm going to make a variant of the Carbonated byrrgroni. In that recipe it calls for 1 charge to clear the gas, and 1 to carbonate with a yield of 2 drinks. If I want to do 8 drinks at once, (~600g total) how many more charges should I add? If I look at the other soda recipes, for that quantity of liquid, they recommend 1 clear, plus 2 charges, do you think the extra charge is necessary? Is that enough? Not clear to me how volume of liquid impacts # of charges necessary and I couldn't find an explanation in the class.

This it's what i would do. I would sub a 5th, more or less, of the ice for water. Do not add the rest of the weight of ice, until it had spent a good couple hours in the fridge, or an hour or so in the freezer to get it very cold. When adequately cold, add the rest of the ice, seal your siphon, and purge with 1 CO2 charge. I would then add 1 charge at a time, shaking vigorously after each charge. I would not exceed 3 charges added, because there will be a good portion that will not dissolve into the cocktail, and you don't want to risk damaging your siphon.
