How much pickle juice is needed for this recipe (or per 4 pieces)?

Seems like the amount used would alter the flavor a lot. Thoughts?

I used about 2/3rds the brine in a 20oz jar for 6 thighs. I'm guessing about 8oz of liquid. N=1, but it worked for me.
